Adventure trekking in Everest

On the first day, you will be welcomed by the representatives of Alpine Wonder Treks as your reach the Tribhuwan International Airport. From there, you along with your luggage will be transferred to the hotel. Please check-in at the hotel, check all your luggages and then you can explore the nearby areas.For dinner and overnight, we request the trekkers to come back to the hotel.

Now that you have landed in Kathmandu and also spend a day in the capital city of Nepal, you might also want to explore the valley before continuing the journey to the Everest region. On this day, our guides will take you to some of the traditionally and historically significant landmarks like Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, all the Durbar Squares, and many more.

Other than that, you can also try different local cuisines prepared by the Newari and other people living in the valley. By the evening, you will return to the hotel for dinner and another overnight stay in Kathmandu.

It's the third day of the Adventure Trekking in Everest Package with Alpine Wonder Treks and this is also when we move from Kathmandu to the Everest region. Our representatives will pick you up early after breakfast and then drop you at the airport. We will arrange your flight ticket from Kathmandu to Lukla. The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes around 35 to 45 minutes. Upon your arrival at the Tenzing and Hilary Airport at Lukla, you will meet the guide and porters (if you have booked). From Lukla, the guide and porters will lead you to the first checkpoint of the Trekking adventure in Everest, Phakding. 

The trek from Lukla to Phakding is a short journey which the trekkers cover within 4 or 5 hours. Therefore, we will reach Phakding for Lunch. After lunch, trekkers can explore this amazing settlement and also interact with the locals. We encourage you to immerse into the lifestyle and tradition of the people living in Phakding before returning to the guesthouse for dinner and overnight stay.

On the fourth day of the Adventure Trekking in Everest package, you will reach one of the most majestic, magical, and unbelievable settlements of the entire Khumbu region. Our journey on the 4th day leads us to the Namche Bazaar. This town is known as the heaven in the Khumbu region because of the unbelievable development that has happened here.

Just imagine being 3441 meters above the sea level and you see markets, shops, internet cafes, fountains, and so much more. It’s like a scene from any Kung Fu movie. Trekkers just need to roam around this place for a while and record their reactions on camera. Believe us, that will be one of the best things for you to remember from the entire Everest Adventure Trekking route.

Ascending to an altitude over 3000 metres means being open to the risks of altitude sickness. Moreover, Namche Bazaar is also a town where trekkers do not get satisfied by staying for a single day. Therefore, the fifth day of the Adventure Trekking in Everest will be an acclimatisation (rest) day. 

However, that does not mean that the trekkers will stay idle for the entire day. You can rather go for any of several side treks like a day hike to Everest View Hotel or a day hike ti Khumjung Village. Both of these hikes offer amazing experiences and help you get the best views of Everest. 

As we have spent almost 2 days and 1 night in Namche Bazaar, it's time to leave this town and ascend further. From Namche, the Adventure Everest Trekking route leads us to the Tengboche Monastery. This monastery is famous as the oldest in the Khumbu region. So, the Buddhist chants and monks doing daily religious rituals will grasp your heart and mind. The Tengboche area, at an altitude of 3860 meters, offers a rather peaceful and calm environment making it ideal for the trekkers to rest after such a tiring journey on the Adventure Trekking in Everest Map. 

The route after Namche starts getting a little rough and straining. Therefore, trekkers need to be more than careful in the upcoming section of the package. Moreover, the risk of altitude sickness also gradually increases, which means that the trekkers must have a slow pace and follow all the instructions offered by the guides.

Another day, another section of the Adventure Trekking in Everest to conquer. From Tenogboche, the trekkers will reach Dingboche, at an altitude of 4358 meters above sea level. From this section, the Adventure Trekking on the Everest route starts getting difficult due to steep climbs and limited facilities. 

Therefore, we request the trekkers to be very careful and follow the instructions provided by the guides. In the meantime, this section also offers a few of the best visits to the tall mountains, glaciers, and high-altitude settlements.  So, keep enjoying the environment while being more than cautious on the ascend.

In Dingboche, we will spend one more day as the acclimatization day before ascending any further. Just like in Namche Bazaar, trekkers can take side trips on the rest day at Dingboche. Trekkers can either go for the Day Hike to Nagarjuna Hill or the day hike to Chukkung Valley. Both of these optional hikes are perfect for the acclimatization of trekkers and great views of the surrounding mountains. 

At the end of the day, trekkers shall return to the hotel in Dingboche for dinner and another overnight stay. This acclimatization day is designed for the trekkers to restore energy and be familiar with the higher altitude.

Today we will leave Dingboche early in the morning after breakfast. On the ninth day of the Adventure Trekking in Everest package, we will reach Lobuche. Lobuche is a sparsely populated Sherpa village at an altitude of 4910 meters. While ascending this section of the Everest Adventure Trekking, trekkers can experience a significant change in the surrounding environment. Lands are more barren, the population is comparatively sparse, and people living here are influenced by the Tibetan culture. 

However, the warm hospitality from the locals, pristine views of the surrounding landscapes and mountains, and the thrill while ascending remain the same. Within almost 5 to 6 hours of walking from Dingboche, trekkers will reach Lobuche and settle down at a Guesthouse. After that, you can explore the Lobuche village and interact with the locals before having dinner and sleeping for the night.

Today is the day when we reach the base camp of the tallest peak in the world. Everest Base Camp. However, the route goes first from Lobuche to Gorakshep and then to the Everest Base Camp. The trail from Lobuche to Gorakshep takes about three hours depending upon the pace and fitness of the trekkers. From there, it takes about two to three more hours to reach the Everest Base Camp. 

The route is highly challenging as this part has fewer accommodation centers, water, and oxygen levels. Therefore, we recommend trekkers carry enough water for the hike and also be safe from altitude sickness. If you take proper care and reach the Everest Camp, that will be a feeling of a lifetime. Without any doubt, Everest Base Camp is a dream of many trekkers worldwide, and standing on this base is a glory in itself. 

Trekkers will spend some time in this base camp before heading down towards Gorakshep again for dinner and an overnight stay.

Do you think you have walked enough now that you have stepped on the Everest Base Camp? Well, we don’t think so. On the eleventh day, the trekkers will ascend to the Kalapatthar View Point (5550 meters). 

This is one of the best viewpoints of the Himalayas of Nepal because it offers the most unfiltered, close, and pristine view of Mount Sagarmatha. 

Once you reach this viewpoint, you will not even feel like descending. However, there is one factor that stops us from spending much time in this viewpoint and that is the suddenly changing weather and climate. Trekkers will have to spend a little time here and descend to Dzongla (4380 meters) due to the risk of sudden changes in climatic and weather conditions. Overnight stay and Dinner will be arranged by Alpine Wonder Treks’s guides in Dzongla.

Today, after having breakfast we will be leaving Dzonglha and heading toward Dragnag via Cho La Pass. Yet another adventurous journey in this expedition awaits you ahead.

The day starts with trekking across an arid valley with easy walks on flat rocks. Moving further, the trail can get quite challenging for the trekkers. Since, the trail is rocky, steep, slippery, and uneven with some sections requiring walking across icy or snowy patches. In addition, the path is narrow & exposed leading to Cho La Pass. Hence, you are required to use Crampons and closely watch your footsteps.

Once we reach Cho La Pass, we begin to start descending toward Dragnag. The initial path to descend is through steep loose of gravel and rock. Moving along the path after a few moments, you will reach the steepest section of this descent.

Moving along the trail we will be now reaching Dragnag. The path to Dragnag can be challenging and troublesome for the trekkers. Along the path, we will be trekking following the riverside through a narrow gorge.

Ending the long trek of about 8 to 10 hours, we will be accommodating in one of the lodges in Dragnag.

To reach Gokyo we need to pass through multiple Sherpa Villages. And Dragnag is one of the villages among them.

Yet another day of adventurous trekking in this expedition towards Gokyo Lake. However, today we will just be trekking for 2-3 hours. Finally, after multiple days of walking almost all day, today you will get a chance to enjoy your time in Gokyo Lake.
With a clear sky ahead and a picturesque view of the mountains, we will be walking along a glacier route. Gokyo Lake system includes 6 big and 19 small lakes. Among these, 6 big lakes are considered the main ones.

Every single lake across the trail offers you a vivid scenic of the mountains. In addition, you will also encounter one of the longest Glaciers in the Himalayas, Ngozumba Glacier. It is 22 km long and the view you get to see is somewhat unimaginable.

Exploring every place nearby and enjoying the rest of the day, we will be spending a night here.

The next day, early in the morning we will be heading towards crossing Renjjo La Pass. It is one of the most popular viewpoints of the region. It provides some of the best views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu among some of the other Himalayan giants from the Everest range.

The route from Gokyo to Lungden is probably one of the most adventurous parts of the Adventure Everest Trekking itinerary. This is because we get a chance to visit one of the three highest passes in the Everest region, Renjjo La Pass (5360 meters). However, you still need to be highly cautious about the risks of altitude sickness.

Today, we will comparatively be trekking for fewer hours then than yesterday. Early in the morning, after having breakfast, we will start to descend toward Thame.

Down the valley on the way out of Lungden, you will see mountains on either side and a never-ending path to the valley. The path is a bit mixture of uphills, downhills, and with some flat sections. Along the trail, you will cross some head-over bridges and get right up next to the river.

After a few hours of walking from Lungdnen, you will see a bridge that will take you to the opposite side of the valley floor. Looking back, this will give you the surrounding mountains up above and the river down below.

Moving further, once we pass a white stupa, we will begin to see Thame. As to descend towards Thame, we will get some best panoramic views of snow-capped mountains. Upon arrival, you will be enjoying and accommodating here for the night.

On the sixteenth day, our walk takes us from Thame to Namche Bazaar. Let us tell you that Namche Bazaar is also known as Manju or Monjo and this place is known as the magical Sherpa settlement of the Everest region or the entire Khumbu region. Descending from Thame to Namche takes on a pretty much easier trail and offers distinctive views of the landscapes and other settlements on the way. 

Within 6 to 7 hours of walking, we finally reach Namche Bazaar, where trekkers can once again enjoy a lovely environment at an altitude of 2835 meters. 

Overnight stay and dinner will be arranged by Alpine Wonder Treksin a comfortable hotel or guesthouse in Namche Bazaar.

On this day of the Adventure Everest Trekking, we descend to Lukla. You might remember this place as the thrilling and adventurous airport while coming to Adventure Trekking in Everest Map. 

It only takes about 5 to 6 hours for us to reach from Namche Bazaar to Lukla which means that within the middle of the day, we will reach Lukla. However, we will stay for that night in Lukla rather than getting on the flight and returning to Kathmandu.

Finally, a flight from Tenzing & Hillary Airport (Lukla) to Tribhuwan International Airport (Kathmandu) waving goodbye to the Everest Trekking region. Within 40 minutes of scenic flight from the Himalayas, we reach Kathmandu. As you land in the Kathmandu Airport, Alpine Wonder Treks’s representatives will receive you and take you to the hotel in a private vehicle. At night,Alpine Wonder Treks will arrange a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the Adventure Everest Trekking.

It’s the day that marks the official end of the Adventure Trekking in Everest journey. After having breakfast in the hotel, our representatives will take you to the Tribhuwan International Airport from where you will board the flight. Our representatives will wave a farewell to the trekkers as they return to their home country.
